The Never Ending Wish List | Topshop Shoes Summer 2016

Recently I've been falling in love with many items at Topshop, and some of them have been shoes. If you're like me and prefer to have a minimal amount of shoes (3, including a pair of running trainers) that can go with a range of everyday outfits then you'll understand my struggle of wanting to buy shoes but having to think practically about when you'll wear them. Also prices at Topshop can be very out of my price range....

So, without further ado, here are 7 Topshop shoes that I wish I could buy.

I already have a pair of trainers just like this, but they're white. I love pale colours especially nudes and pinks because they can go with so many outfits.

These would be perfect for hot weather, which this British summer is set to be. The minimal detail means they'd easily go with many outfits. I think they would look nice with cropped jeans and a loose top.

If you're not a fan of sandals but still want footwear that won't make your feet overheat then slippers are a great alternative. Because these have quite a bold pattern, I would try to work the rest of my outfit with it by focusing on blues and whites.

Party shoes without a heel? I need them! Silver and white are a hot trend this season so these would go great with a white dress and also add a casual vibe to your outfit. Of course, these can also be worn as everyday shoes and you'll be the height of fashion in them.

Perfect for a formal summer occasion (and I wouldn't spend THAT much on shoes unless it was for that purpose), the ribbon is so delicate and pretty I would put these on display when I wasn't wearing them. Again, these could also be worn with a casual outfit that matched the pale colours.

I think these sandals would be great for prom. And with prom season coming up very soon, these would be a perfect finish to your dream look. On the casual side, I wouldn't wear these with trousers or shorts and they would go better with a dress or skirt.

The boldest and darkest shoes on my wish list. How can you not fall in love with these? These would go with absolutely anything and would take you all year round, not just summer. I think the Alegra Lace Ankle Boots would be well worth the money if you were happy to spend it.

What do you think about these shoes? Have I added any to your current wish list or would you chose other shoes to put on instead? Let me know!

Oh My Girl (오마이걸) Liar Liar MV : Outfit Inspiration

Oh My Girl have a new song called 'Liar Liar' and, like any fashion concious being, the outfits the girls wore really caught my eye. I loved the outfits from the teaser pictures and the music video (which has great aesthetics can I say?). In the MV they mostly wore tops and skirts but I can't lie that loved the top and trouser outfits that were in the teaser images too. Here is some inspired outfits from the cute and fresh concept.

Oh My Girl (오마이걸) Liar Liar - The Top & Trouser Edit

Oh My Girl (오마이걸) Liar Liar - The Top & Trouser Edit

Let's start with the top and trouser edit! This look will take zero effort to pull off because all you need is a striped top and some great fitting jeans. Alternatively, you can style your tee with casual dungarees for an even more effortless look whilst still keeping that fresh and simple vibe.

Oh My Girl (오마이걸) Liar Liar  - The Top & Skirt Edit

If you'd prefer the top and skirt outfits that Oh My Girl wore then it's possibly even simpler! With a high waisted skirt you could wear any kind of top. To work this look, tuck in a top, jumper or shirt to your skirt and you've done it. I love the blue Pure Cotton Frill Striped Blouse from Marks and Spencer's that I've included in the picture above and one of the girls wears a similar one in the video.

Something's to keep in mind are:
1. Don't make your outfit bold. You want to either have a pale coloured skirt or top at least, don't have a deep blue skirt with a bold red top - that's not the point of this look.
2. Keep it simple. It seriously is just a top and skirt or trouser matter, only add one piece of jewellery and wear skin coloured tights.

Do you love this look as much as I do? Let me know!

Pastel Pop Outfit

PASTEL POP

Is the dull January rain making you feel unmotivated to keep to your new
years resolutions? Stop feeling so down and rebel against the weather with
your wardrobe! Here are some fun ideas to to get you off the sofa and onto
the streets (even if you do need to take a raincoat and umbrella).

1.Sometimes all you need is 1 colourful item to make an outfit bring light
to your face and I suggest starting with a t-shirt. That way you can work
other elements of your look around it - just like I have done in the picture
above.

2.Shorts may be a bit adventurous to go outside in just yet (unless you
want to wear thick tights with them). So when you've got an indoors day,
wear them then. The house will be warm and you'll be organising those
cupboards that you stuffed all your uninteresting Christmas presents in,
right?

3. Trainers are bound to make you want to get up and be active in them,
so get up and get them on!

4. Like I mentioned before, work other elements of your look around the
bright colours. This could be nail varnish, a cap, lipstick or even a pair of
socks. Get creative.

Hopefully with these quick tips you will put a springier step into your
resolutions this January and maybe even keep them going until February
this year...

January 2015 Favourites

For the first post of the year I am doing a favourites post!

1. Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Scrub

I find it really handy to have a facial scrub to use every so often just to help keep your face clean and to treat it every so often. I had originally been looking for another brand's charcoal scrub but I had used Boot's tea tree and witch hazel products in the past and decided to get this one instead. Immediately after I used it my face felt clean and soft.

Quick Tip: Scrubs tend to have bits in them (e.g charcoal) and they can damage your skin, this is why you should only use them every now and then and when you do, don't use force because they can catch on your skin and break it.

2. Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm - Oh Orange

I love the Baby Lips range because I love to have lip balm on but I also like a bit of colour. This orange is a really nice colour as well because it isn't as 'electro' and bright as I thought it would be and it's almost like an orange and red colour. Some people have said that this colour suits paler skin better but I think that anyone could suit this so don't think it is limited!

3. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream Unscented

I have put a Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream in a favourites post before, however this one is different! This one is concentrated and it practically healed my really dry and sore hands instantly. Other Neutrogena hand creams have healed my hands quickly too but after the first use of this they were completely different but it did take another few days until my whole hand was completely back to normal again.

4. Bohemian Soap - Lush

Just to clarify, they no longer stock the Baked Alaska soap unfortunately but the Bohemian is still available. Every product from Lush has the most amazing smell so, of course, these are no exception. The Bohemian has a lovely lemon and citrus scent whilst the Baked Alaska is quite fruity.

5. Topshop Copenhagen Lace-up Trainers

I really love these and, to me, they make a lazy, casual outfit look like it's had a bit more effort put into it. I personally like to team them with some black skinny jeans and a white top for a chic but still casual outfit.

6.  Z for Accessorize Jewellery

Firstly, I just want to say that pretty much everything in this line is perfect and I love all of it. I got both of these for Christmas the left is a necklace and the right is a bracelet. The deigns are really delicate and are perfect if you want to add a small touch to a plain outfit I think. I can't wait for summer when I won't be wearing long sleeves and hoodies so I can show the bracelet off.

7. BABOSARANG "Don't Worry About a Thing" Diary

This is the cutest diary I think I will ever own. It is a 2014-2015 diary but it doesn't have any specific dates on the days so you could use it whenever you want. It has cute messages to make you smile on almost every page and is a good way to get organised. Some phrases are in Korean but the majority is in English and I did start to wonder if the litle girl character was based of Choo Sarang because of the hair style?

8. The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly - Sun Mi Hwang

I was given this book for Christmas and it is quite a small book but unfortunately I'm only on the 3rd chapter. It is a very uplifting book that is quite inspirational and, because it is small, it would be perfect for a weekend away book to read or if you travel to school or work.

I hope you enjoyed!

P.S I know I said on my last post that I will update more in the new year but I don't think that it will happen, I'm coming up to my AS Level exams in the summer so there won't be many posts. I will introduce a semi-hiatus notice in a few months and then a hiatus around my exams but when the summer comes I will be updating more often again.

What's on My Birthday List?

It's October and not only does that mean Halloween is coming up but my birthday is also soon so I thought I would share with you a small list of a few things I would like, then after my birthday I will share what I did get!

This is first on my list because I have really wanted this for a long time now. It's not just an ordinary lip tint as you put it on your lips then wait around 10 minutes and peel it off and it lasts all day. It's also known as a semi-tattoo type of make-up because it lasts all day.

A lot of brands have started to take this on but I think this is the first brand to have done it. The link (name of the item) goes to Wish Trend and shows the product for $12.79 which is around £8. It seems a lot for some lip tint but if it lasts a long time and saves you from applying more throughout the day then it should be worth it.

2. Socks

(These socks are from Topshop here) I really love these types of socks with little pictures all over them and so I really hope I can get some more for my birthday.

3. iPod Touch

I've been stuck on a small iPod Nano for 5 years now and it's slowly breaking. I don't think I will be receiving this however because all generations of the iPod Touch are very far out of my family's price range unfortunately. (iPod pictured is 5th generation)

4. Purse

I've had my current purse for a while and this too is also breaking (I like to keep things for as long as possible so this means a lot of my things are breaking). I'm fond of small purses with a lot of compartments so they can fit easily in my bag. I would really like this purse as I have seen it in the shops for a while.

P.S I just want to apologise for not updating a lot, now that I'm doing A level a lot of my time is spent doing work and my laptop has been broken for a week and I've just got it back. I will try and update at least once a week from now on.

Pick of The Month: Topshop Mini Tara Holdall

Mini Tara Holdall - £38.00

These type of bags have been popular for a long while now but I have just recently been a bit obsessed with them. Although I haven't actually bought one yet (mostly because the ones I like are out of my price range along with this one) I hope to buy one soon.

This one from Topshop is probably my favourite at the moment, the colour is not really bold and it is light so it can go with pretty much any outfit.

The design is what I love the most about these bags and also normally have quite a bit of room in them so if you wanted you could use it as a work bag, a school bag or even a travelling bag. I like how the strap that you can put over your shoulder also goes well with the design as sometimes bags which have both handle and straps can look a bit out of place.
