The Never Ending Wish List | Topshop Shoes Summer 2016

Recently I've been falling in love with many items at Topshop, and some of them have been shoes. If you're like me and prefer to have a minimal amount of shoes (3, including a pair of running trainers) that can go with a range of everyday outfits then you'll understand my struggle of wanting to buy shoes but having to think practically about when you'll wear them. Also prices at Topshop can be very out of my price range....

So, without further ado, here are 7 Topshop shoes that I wish I could buy.

I already have a pair of trainers just like this, but they're white. I love pale colours especially nudes and pinks because they can go with so many outfits.

These would be perfect for hot weather, which this British summer is set to be. The minimal detail means they'd easily go with many outfits. I think they would look nice with cropped jeans and a loose top.

If you're not a fan of sandals but still want footwear that won't make your feet overheat then slippers are a great alternative. Because these have quite a bold pattern, I would try to work the rest of my outfit with it by focusing on blues and whites.

Party shoes without a heel? I need them! Silver and white are a hot trend this season so these would go great with a white dress and also add a casual vibe to your outfit. Of course, these can also be worn as everyday shoes and you'll be the height of fashion in them.

Perfect for a formal summer occasion (and I wouldn't spend THAT much on shoes unless it was for that purpose), the ribbon is so delicate and pretty I would put these on display when I wasn't wearing them. Again, these could also be worn with a casual outfit that matched the pale colours.

I think these sandals would be great for prom. And with prom season coming up very soon, these would be a perfect finish to your dream look. On the casual side, I wouldn't wear these with trousers or shorts and they would go better with a dress or skirt.

The boldest and darkest shoes on my wish list. How can you not fall in love with these? These would go with absolutely anything and would take you all year round, not just summer. I think the Alegra Lace Ankle Boots would be well worth the money if you were happy to spend it.

What do you think about these shoes? Have I added any to your current wish list or would you chose other shoes to put on instead? Let me know!

Clean And Clear Advanced Treatment Gel : Fast Action Spot Care Review

Who else rushes to the nearest supermarket and buys the best looking solution when their face breaks out for the first time in 4 years? I don't believe that I'm the only one who makes this mistake and because of that I am writing a not-so positive review of a beauty product for the first time on my blog.

The said product is the Clean and Clear Advanced Treatment Gel

First Thoughts

When I first applied this to my big and red breakout spots the redness had reduced slightly about 12 hours after. It did also dry them out a bit so I was in a good mood and looked forward to cleaner and clearer skin after a few days.

The gel is a clear-ish gel that is slightly white in colour (see below picture). Once you put it on your spots you have to wait a minute or so for it to dry. It says that you can apply this underneath and on top of make-up but it creates a type of skin and can rub off which isn't something I like.

The Outcome

With continual use over 5 days, my spots didn't change, yet alone clear up. I stopped using this and my spots slowly calmed down more so.

Final Comment

Whilst it seemed like this fast action spot care was going to save my face from my sudden breakout when I first used it, the affects didn't last long enough for my spots to clear up.

Like with any product, this product could work the way it's supposed to with you but unfortunately for me it didn't. Thankfully, Clean and Clear products are not very pricey and I'll probably let my family members try it out on their spots.

Overall, the gel is not a consistency that I am favourable of either so if this had worked for me, I probably wouldn't have bought it again.

Have you ever been in my position and bought a product to care for your spots but it didn't work? Let me know in the comments.

January 2015 Favourites

For the first post of the year I am doing a favourites post!

1. Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Scrub

I find it really handy to have a facial scrub to use every so often just to help keep your face clean and to treat it every so often. I had originally been looking for another brand's charcoal scrub but I had used Boot's tea tree and witch hazel products in the past and decided to get this one instead. Immediately after I used it my face felt clean and soft.

Quick Tip: Scrubs tend to have bits in them (e.g charcoal) and they can damage your skin, this is why you should only use them every now and then and when you do, don't use force because they can catch on your skin and break it.

2. Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm - Oh Orange

I love the Baby Lips range because I love to have lip balm on but I also like a bit of colour. This orange is a really nice colour as well because it isn't as 'electro' and bright as I thought it would be and it's almost like an orange and red colour. Some people have said that this colour suits paler skin better but I think that anyone could suit this so don't think it is limited!

3. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream Unscented

I have put a Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream in a favourites post before, however this one is different! This one is concentrated and it practically healed my really dry and sore hands instantly. Other Neutrogena hand creams have healed my hands quickly too but after the first use of this they were completely different but it did take another few days until my whole hand was completely back to normal again.

4. Bohemian Soap - Lush

Just to clarify, they no longer stock the Baked Alaska soap unfortunately but the Bohemian is still available. Every product from Lush has the most amazing smell so, of course, these are no exception. The Bohemian has a lovely lemon and citrus scent whilst the Baked Alaska is quite fruity.

5. Topshop Copenhagen Lace-up Trainers

I really love these and, to me, they make a lazy, casual outfit look like it's had a bit more effort put into it. I personally like to team them with some black skinny jeans and a white top for a chic but still casual outfit.

6.  Z for Accessorize Jewellery

Firstly, I just want to say that pretty much everything in this line is perfect and I love all of it. I got both of these for Christmas the left is a necklace and the right is a bracelet. The deigns are really delicate and are perfect if you want to add a small touch to a plain outfit I think. I can't wait for summer when I won't be wearing long sleeves and hoodies so I can show the bracelet off.

7. BABOSARANG "Don't Worry About a Thing" Diary

This is the cutest diary I think I will ever own. It is a 2014-2015 diary but it doesn't have any specific dates on the days so you could use it whenever you want. It has cute messages to make you smile on almost every page and is a good way to get organised. Some phrases are in Korean but the majority is in English and I did start to wonder if the litle girl character was based of Choo Sarang because of the hair style?

8. The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly - Sun Mi Hwang

I was given this book for Christmas and it is quite a small book but unfortunately I'm only on the 3rd chapter. It is a very uplifting book that is quite inspirational and, because it is small, it would be perfect for a weekend away book to read or if you travel to school or work.

I hope you enjoyed!

P.S I know I said on my last post that I will update more in the new year but I don't think that it will happen, I'm coming up to my AS Level exams in the summer so there won't be many posts. I will introduce a semi-hiatus notice in a few months and then a hiatus around my exams but when the summer comes I will be updating more often again.

Boots Beauty Shopping Haul

I recently went shopping in Boots and bought a few beauty products which I am going to share with you.

1. Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks

Revlon have these small eye shadow colour pallets in a large range of colours, I bought candy, petal and taupe. They have little slides on the sides of them so you can create your own actual pallet of colours which you want as you can often find that there will be a colour in an eye shadow pallet that you don't really want or end up not using, so these are great so you can chose exactly what you want.

2. Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Gell Eyeshadow

Even though this is an eye shadow, I have used it as eye liner and works the same as gel eye liner too. This is in timeless black, which is black with a look of a sparkle in it but when it's on your eye the sparkle isn't very noticeable. It is also good as both a sharp block colour as well createing a smokey look.

3. No.7 Precision Eyeliner Brush

I think that these thin eyeliner brushes are best to use as they are thin so you can have your eyeliner thin and subtle or you can build it up bit by bit to make it thicker. I bought No. 7, even though it wasn't cheap,  because they are a good quality brand and I am most likely to get my money's worth out of it.

4. Maybelline Colour Show Nail Varnish

You can get block colours, such as this 'cool blue', or there are also glitter and neon nail varnishes too in this collection. There was a particular nail design I had wanted to try out (which I may do a tutorial or something similar for in the future) which is why I bought this colour, but I also really like the pastely type colour as is a great colour for summer.
