Spring Outfit Ideas 2015

Spring Outfit Ideas 2015

This spring outfit goes for a light and relaxed look but team it with something bold to make
a statement!

For a light, refreshing and breezy look go for a loose, pale top (doesn't have to be white)
and pair it up with some light blue jeans. Ripped jeans go really well with this style and
are right in season and if they are a bit loose even better!

For shoes you can go for light shoes again, especially if it's warm outside, or to look more
casual go for converse or other comfy shoes. Depending on your outfit, your shoes don't
have to be black and could be white or another pale colour.

Black shoes would go best with this outfit if you wore a black leather jacket. Where I live,
it is still very cold so I still have to wear a coat outside but a leather jacket helps to make
an outfit more prepared for spring weather rather than winter. A leather jacket is perfect for
an edgy look, especially teamed with ripped jeans.

For accessories, pale coloured  jewellery would go very well, although I think this outfit
would be fine without the jewellery. A light coloured bag would make the outfit complete.

Quick Exam Tips

I have previously done exam tips but I am about to go through another extremely important set of exams in the next few months and I want to share some new and improved exams tips.

1) If you're like me and still have a few months until you should fully focus all your time on revision, find some time every so often to go through different topics that you did at the beginning of the year or topics you didn't quite understand. This means that when it comes to really focusing on revising, you might not need to fully go through a topic.

2) Make time. This seems impossible to do but if you organise your daily routine, you could find that you actually have half an hour here or there to do some revision or work. This is really quite good because once you get some out the way your mind can feel a bit more relaxed and you can spend other time on something you actually want to do.

3) I kind of said this in the first tip, but start early. The best thing to do is to be going over things in free time from the beginning of the school year. You could make this an aim for your next school year if it's too late, but if it's not then go ahead and start today!

4) Give yourself regular breaks. Of course, if you have motivation and are in the right mind then do as much work as you can, but do take a breather every 20 minutes at least even if it is just to take a few breathes and then going back into it.

If you don't have motivation, say to yourself you'll do 5 minutes then take a break, then 10 minutes and take a break.

5) Eating well will give your brain energy to focus and to remember. Working when you're hungry or not focused isn't going to be worth it. Breakfast is very important and here is a post that is about sustainable breakfast that will keep you going through the whole morning at least.

As well as breakfast, you don't want to skip lunch or an evening meal, and it is better to eat these than to snack. Meals are better brain food than small snacks.

I hope these help

Pick of the Month: Miss Selfridge Black Molly Faux Leather Biker

This pick of the month is Miss Selfridge's Black Molly Faux Leather Biker. Biker's are great in general because they can be a perfect feature of almost any outfit especially in helping to give lazy casual outfits look like you've put in more effort than you actually have.

I really love this one by Miss Selfridge and I think out of all the leather jackets I have seen recently this is the most appealing looking one. The design is really quite simple but features such as the zips and quilted detail give just enough extra detail. I've seen some leather jacket's that have way too much detail so I'm very glad to have found this one.

4Minute 'Crazy' MV Inspired Outfit Ideas

4Minute 'Crazy' MV Inspired Outfit Ideas

4Minute have come back with 'Crazy' and love their fashion in the MV as
well as the song so here are a few ideas inspired by their outfits.

The main theme is all black with a bucket hat but I love the outfits that have
black with a bold gold necklace.

This outfit would be perfect for making a bold statement either at a party or
just going out.

January 2015 Favourites

For the first post of the year I am doing a favourites post!

1. Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Scrub

I find it really handy to have a facial scrub to use every so often just to help keep your face clean and to treat it every so often. I had originally been looking for another brand's charcoal scrub but I had used Boot's tea tree and witch hazel products in the past and decided to get this one instead. Immediately after I used it my face felt clean and soft.

Quick Tip: Scrubs tend to have bits in them (e.g charcoal) and they can damage your skin, this is why you should only use them every now and then and when you do, don't use force because they can catch on your skin and break it.

2. Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm - Oh Orange

I love the Baby Lips range because I love to have lip balm on but I also like a bit of colour. This orange is a really nice colour as well because it isn't as 'electro' and bright as I thought it would be and it's almost like an orange and red colour. Some people have said that this colour suits paler skin better but I think that anyone could suit this so don't think it is limited!

3. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream Unscented

I have put a Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream in a favourites post before, however this one is different! This one is concentrated and it practically healed my really dry and sore hands instantly. Other Neutrogena hand creams have healed my hands quickly too but after the first use of this they were completely different but it did take another few days until my whole hand was completely back to normal again.

4. Bohemian Soap - Lush

Just to clarify, they no longer stock the Baked Alaska soap unfortunately but the Bohemian is still available. Every product from Lush has the most amazing smell so, of course, these are no exception. The Bohemian has a lovely lemon and citrus scent whilst the Baked Alaska is quite fruity.

5. Topshop Copenhagen Lace-up Trainers

I really love these and, to me, they make a lazy, casual outfit look like it's had a bit more effort put into it. I personally like to team them with some black skinny jeans and a white top for a chic but still casual outfit.

6.  Z for Accessorize Jewellery

Firstly, I just want to say that pretty much everything in this line is perfect and I love all of it. I got both of these for Christmas the left is a necklace and the right is a bracelet. The deigns are really delicate and are perfect if you want to add a small touch to a plain outfit I think. I can't wait for summer when I won't be wearing long sleeves and hoodies so I can show the bracelet off.

7. BABOSARANG "Don't Worry About a Thing" Diary

This is the cutest diary I think I will ever own. It is a 2014-2015 diary but it doesn't have any specific dates on the days so you could use it whenever you want. It has cute messages to make you smile on almost every page and is a good way to get organised. Some phrases are in Korean but the majority is in English and I did start to wonder if the litle girl character was based of Choo Sarang because of the hair style?

8. The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly - Sun Mi Hwang

I was given this book for Christmas and it is quite a small book but unfortunately I'm only on the 3rd chapter. It is a very uplifting book that is quite inspirational and, because it is small, it would be perfect for a weekend away book to read or if you travel to school or work.

I hope you enjoyed!

P.S I know I said on my last post that I will update more in the new year but I don't think that it will happen, I'm coming up to my AS Level exams in the summer so there won't be many posts. I will introduce a semi-hiatus notice in a few months and then a hiatus around my exams but when the summer comes I will be updating more often again.
